I Am The Architect of Wonder
Is there really a boundary between visual art and writing? Both disciplines use signs and conventions to express a thought or feeling. Visual art and writing are so connected that it is even possible to paint with words or write with light and colors! Both share an essential feature: communication. Nowadays, artistic manifestations are many and varied, crossing the disciplines of literature, the fine arts, and graphic design, in a fertile intersection of creative innovation.
My name is Gianni A. Sarcone, and I am an international visual artist and author with decades of experience in the fields of optical art (op art) and visual creativity. Much of my art blurs the line between cognitive science and communication.
Major international galleries, publishers, and agencies have appreciated, used, and enjoyed my work to capture the attention of and entertain people all around the world. I love to integrate my work with different disciplines and to apply it to all aspects of our everyday life. All my work is intended to encourage people to look beyond what seems obvious and to open their minds to new emotions and dimensions.
I have written an extensive collection of books in several languages on brain training, critical thinking, visual art, and on the mechanism of vision. I also founded Archimedes'
Lab Project™ [archimedes-lab.org],
a consulting network of experts specializing in developing creativity, with the goal of forming and training the future creative minds who will design the world of tomorrow.
In 2018, I won the prestigious Royal
Society's Young People's Book Prize.
